The red charging light does not light up, and the player does not charge. But when I push the plug into the charging point on the side of the player,at one point, as the plug goes in, there is a quick flash of red - but no more. Anyone know a fix or a likely faulty component? I had a shark handheld about 8 years ago and it developed the same problem. Obviously there is a circuit failure in the on board charging control. So the power supply and the battery are both good. I can remove the battery and wire it to the power supply for charging and it will charge up and run the sweeper. The battery will not charge in the sweeper.
